History of the Emerging Artists Program
The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival initiated the Emerging Artist Program in 1997. Our goal is to encourage participation in the world of outdoor festivals by providing the opportunity to experience the application process and participation in WPSAF at no cost to the emerging artists. The program is designed specifically for outstanding artists who have never exhibited or sold their work at an outdoor festival. Artists who are just beginning their careers in the art world are encouraged to apply.

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival hires a local Boy Scout troop to patrol the park at night and will call the Winter Park Police Department if there is any suspicious activity noted. However, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is not responsible for the loss of any art work that is left in the artist’s booth overnight.
